In September 2018 I was contacted by the creator of Laurelle Woman, a Leeds based womenswear brand. Laura wanted a quality photoshoot for her new clothing line so we met for a coffee and spent some time discussing colour schemes, location, model and props. The resulting shoot is definitely one of my favourites so far!

I picked Block 47 Studios in Leeds as our location. I think this is one of the best studios in town, the guys who run it are super nice and the space is well organised and suitable to many uses. Highly recommended.

Model Tasha did an amazing job posing for the camera and so did Laura styling and directing. On my side, I focused on making the most out of the natural light coming in from the big windows at the studio. Although it was a cloudy day, overcast sky is actually really good for portraits as it produces a soft and diffused light on the subject. Playing with plants, drapes and depth of field also helped give the shoot a natural and crisp look.

Equipment: Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM.
